Katy's residential building boom of the 2000s and 2010s produced a large stock of homes with Hardy board siding, stucco, and exterior painted surfaces that require soft washing — not pressure washing. Hardy board in particular is paint-protected fiber cement: high pressure forces water through paint seams, behind boards, and into the OSB sheathing behind, where moisture damage develops slowly and invisibly until it's expensive. Soft washing with the appropriate pressure and detergent cleans Hardy board, stucco, and painted wood correctly.

Our soft wash process uses biodegradable detergent applied at under 500 PSI, dwell time for biological kill, and a top-down rinse that prevents streaking. We adjust nozzle distance and pressure specifically for each surface type — Hardy board, stucco, brick, and soffit vents are each cleaned at different settings. The process kills mildew spores rather than simply blasting the visible layer off the surface, which significantly extends the time before regrowth.
