House Washing
Katy, TX.
Katy houses across Cinco Ranch and Cross Creek Ranch are mostly Hardie siding, brick, and stone — all surfaces that benefit from professional soft washing every 12–18 months. The combination of Houston humidity and Katy's tree-shaded lots means north-facing walls develop visible algae buildup that just rinsing won't remove.
Why Katy homes need professional house washing.
Katy's diverse exterior cladding — brick ranch homes in older Katy proper, Hardy board in Cinco Ranch, stucco in Cane Island and newer Grand Parkway communities — each require a different pressure and detergent approach to clean safely and effectively. Misapplied pressure washing is the most common source of exterior damage we encounter when inspecting Katy homes: gouged stucco, lifted Hardy board caulking, and water-forced behind window seals are all avoidable with the correct technique.
We soft-wash every material type at the appropriate pressure — Hardy board under 500 PSI, stucco at 300–500 PSI, brick at 500–800 PSI — using biodegradable detergent matched to the growth type (green algae, black mildew, oxidation). Gutters and downspouts receive a separate oxidation treatment that removes the black streaking on painted surfaces without scrubbing. All plantings, outdoor furniture, and electrical panels are protected before washing begins.
